When I head for a day out to the races I’m typically on the lookout for a big win to raise my bank balance, not a right hook. I’ve clearly got the wrong idea though on account of the recent happenings at Haydock, UK racecourse this month. There’s been plenty of football action to watch of late, but the potential nail biting ending to the Premier League season is what’s key right now. With Manchester City and Liverpool both on 65 points (with Liverpool with a game in hand) any misstep at this point can make or break.

Man City next take on West Ham, with Liverpool facing a difficult away fixture against Manchester United. On Monday we of course saw Manchester United schooling Chelsea away from home in the fifth round of the FA Cup. They’re in winning form run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and so will go into the Liverpool game with plenty of confidence.
